Restoring Force Model of Precast Segmental Reinforced Concrete Piers after Seawater Freeze–Thaw Cycles

Precast segmental reinforced concrete (RC) piers have been widely used in the construction of offshore bridges to speed up construction. Offshore cold regions are inevitably affected by seawater freeze–thaw cycles under periodic movement tides, which could reduce mechanical property RC piers. Based on low cyclic loading test 12 specimens with different cycles, axial compression ratio, diameters longitudinal reinforcement, and stirrup spacing, hysteresis characteristics precast were analyzed. The results show that peak load decreased 11%, while displacement increased 40% after 125 cycles. curves became fuller residual smaller accumulation damage. In same 15% 27% increasing ratio reinforcement diameter. Combined regression analysis experimental results, restoring force model considering damage design parameters was established, calculation method each characteristic point given. deviation values flexural capacity not more than 6.5%, 12%. determined this paper provide a reference for seismic response regions.
